Kilimanjaro is the perfect combination of good food and fun. The location is a historic beer factory-turned cultural hub and right next door is Babylon, the best live music hall in town. Kilimanjaro’s massive bar may be tempting, but it is the kitchen that makes this restaurant one of the sexiest spots in Istanbul. Chef Mustafa Otar’s menu follows the seasons obsessively, using the freshest local produce, sourced from small producers. Take notice of the vegetable dishes, like the seasonal artichoke globes and samphire braised in olive oil, but make room for the slow-roasted lamb shoulder, served with smoky freekah and wild herb salad.
