This very traditional german Gasthaus run by the Bauer family is a half hour drive from the city center, and it has become famous for it’s ridiculously calculated wine list. Ten euros on top of any bottle is their rule, with a good selection of Burgundies, Bordeaux or German top wineries at hand. But the place is also the best to experience bavarian traditional cuisine, like a pork roast, traditional tafelspitz with horseradish or a sirloin from a bavarian heifer. Don’t go without tasting their topfenknödel with rhubarb compote. Bavarian soulfood at its best, washed down with a bottle of Coche-Dury that will put a big and long lasting grin on your face.
